To the singular stink bug who has befriended both my cats and who now lives in my shower: I know not what fate has in store for you. The weather grows cold and I suspect an escort back to the outside world may be a swift death sentence. I have decided to look up what stink bugs eat this evening and cordially invite you to remain in my tub for the time being. I will look into more formal lodgings - perhaps a large tupperware container with some air holes and some mulch - in the morning...

The changing seasons are changing me. It's funny - delightfully obvious? - how connected my whole world view tunes up to the wider state of things. This year, especially so with the political changes in the works.

I listened to a podcast earlier this week that highlighted some of the dastardly elements of the US national elections from the late 1700s. I suppose it's been en vogue for a while to fully abandon the universally collaborative spirit when seeking positions of a universally collaborative nature. To me, the irony is strong with the approach.

I would have most certainly written sooner but I failed to save my password for this account at first. I'd pecked away at the password recovery process for a few days - allowing tokens to sit and expire while pursuing several morning goals at once (more than once). Today is a day of journaling victory.

What is it about writing that makes me feel so complete? It's weird how I can so quickly forget and remember how much the activity means to me.

Anywho, I'm glad to return to something like what I remember LiveJournal used to be way back when. (Only took me about a couple decades to find my way...)

Naturally, I come bearing visions of providing the most profound of writing content. At least "naturally" for me because I tend to be a bit of an overachiever...
